３０年の歴史
　国際コンペで入賞した賞金で　東大の大谷幸夫先生より独立して今年で３０年になります　その間「営業はしない　基本設計から監理迄の一貫の仕事のみ　そして当社の名前の出ない仕事はしない　設計監理料以外のコミッションは受けない」の四原則の営業方針でやってきました　その間事務所規模の割には多量な仕事を楽しくさせていただきました　私として努力が足りなかったと思われる作品も含めて　それら総て我が子のように可愛いものばかりです　

全方位創作による作品の多様性
　基本的に依頼者とお逢いし　敷地や周辺を見て　色々な制約の中から　お客様の希望と夢を適えよう　というスタンスですから　結果は一品生産的で全く違ったものになります　なるべく前もって予見や偏見は持たずに将来まで見通した案を　多様な与条件や希望や社会的制約の中でお客様と解を求めますので　多様な結果になるのは当り前です　従って当社の３０年の作品集をご覧になった方が「同じ建築家の作品とは思えない」とおっしゃるのを聞くと　大変嬉しく光栄に思います

企画とは夢を見ること
　私は人間大好き人間で　依頼者又は依頼社の懐に飛び込んでその人の為になる空間を創りたいと思い　土地や資金や時間に問題があったり　使い勝手のプログラミングに無理があったりすると　益々元気が出て来ます　結果として依頼された時とは全く違うものができることもあります　でも充分話合って企画を立て案を検討すれば必ず喜んでいただけます　今まで依頼される前と後とで　大袈裟に言えば　人生の変った方や家族や会社もあります　是非一緒に夢を見つけて実現しましょう

HISTORY OF 30 YEARS
With a prize awarded in the international competition, I became independent of Prof.Sachio Otani of the University of Tokyo and have been engaged in this work for 30 years till now. During that time, I have worked with the business policy of four principles: No canvassing; Undertaking of only consistent work from base planning to supervision; Undertaking of only work given the name of our firm, and No commissions other than the designing and supervision charges. In these 30 years, I have happily done a lot of work considering a scale of the firm. All of those works including works which are considered to need more efforts are dear to me like my children.

DIVERSITY OF WORKS DUE TO CREATION FROM ALL ANGLES
My basic stance on the business is that I should see a client and observe a building site and its circumstances to satisfy hopes and dreams of the client under various restrictions. So, the resulting works are those built as only one article and entirely different from each other. Because I make a plan looking ahead into the future without having prejudice or ready-made ideas and seek a solution together with the client under the various given conditions, desires and social restrictions, it is a matter of course that diverse results are brought about. Therefore, I am very happy and honored to hear a person, who saw the collection of 30-year works of our firm, saying “I cannot think those works were made by the same architect”.

CONSULTATION OR PLANNING IS TO REALIZE DREAMS
I love human being very much and want to get in close to a client to create a space that is beneficial to the client. If there are a troubles with a real estate, a fund, time, etc., or if programming of services is tight, I would be energized more and more. Sometimes, the resulting building becomes entirely different from that first requested. But, if the client and I talk to each other thoroughly, then make a plan and discuss the plan, the client must be satisfied. I have met so far some clients (families and companies) whose life was changed after they entrusted work to me, if I may be allowed a little exaggeration.
